The Youth Incentive Program (JIP)

As a youth member of SVV Scheveningen you can now earn some extra income by volunteering. You are committed to your club and the clubrewards you for your efforts. How nice is that! It's really possible with the Youth Incentive Program (JIP)

What does the youth incentive program look like?
Are you between 14 and 21 years old? Then you can sign up for the JIP. You are committed to a fun task in the canteen or kitchen and SVV rewards you with a volunteer allowance. So you will simply be paid if you are pouring coffee or tea! In addition, we offer you the opportunity to develop yourself personally, to follow education and training and to gain experience. That's a nice bonus.

Register
If you are interested, you can register via [email protected] or via app or phone 06-24779928. We can place a maximum of 15 youth members so be quick. After your registration, we will discuss your motivation and availability. But also perhaps your learning goal. We record the agreements so that we can get serious about working together.

Scheduling and guidance
In consultation with you, we will schedule you for a fixed number of hours on canteen, bar and kitchen tasks. This can be done via the volunteer schedule. We will therefore register you as an official SVV volunteer. When you start you will be guided by the people present and we will also regularly ask how things are going. At the end of the season we discuss what you've learned and whether you want to volunteer more?

You work we pay….
You are committed to your club and SVV Scheveningen pays you a volunteer fee. The maximum annual volunteer allowance is legally set at € 1,800 per year (2021). Net so tax-free without the risk of earning too much! Your earnings, of course, depend on your commitment in hours.

Furthermore, the mandatory volunteer contribution expires, you gain work experience for later. You will also have the opportunity to learn, develop and follow training courses that fit your task and you will receive appropriate clothing / materials.

Legal frameworks and regulations
The same rules apply to voluntary work as to paid work. We therefore take into account:
- Legal frameworks for working in the hospitality industry.
- the legal frameworks per age category
- the frameworks and guidelines of volunteering allowances

Which tasks?
Jr. Kitchen Assistant - You support light kitchen tasks such as preparing the sandwiches etc.
Kitchen employee snack shop - You support with kitchen tasks such as chip shop
Canteen employee snack corner - You sell coffee/tea, soft drinks (NO alcohol), snacks, sweets
Bar employee canteen of 16 years - You participate in the bar service. You can serve alcohol but you are not allowed to consume it yourself!

When can you be scheduled?
At the times below you can be scheduled for 1 or more hours. You can do this via the volunteer schedule of the SVV app. We keep track of how many hours you make.
